Among the festivals this weekend was the les Eurockéennes de Belfort event, one of France's biggest annual events.
Around 150,000 attended the three-day event, that saw Stromae and the Pixies on the Friday night, Skrillex, Franz Ferdinand and Shaka Ponk on the Saturday, and the Black Keys, Robert Plant and Fauve on the Sunday.
Of course, there were dozens of other acts on the bill, among them Détroit, Biffy Clyro and Gaetan Roussel.
This year's event was completely sold out, and given the difficult economic background these days and the long shadows that have been hanging over the music industry for years, it's no small achievement.
Ticket prices are kept down to make the event as accessible as possible, fine principles which also seem to be a sound economic policy.
Also pretty positive to make some fine music recorded at the event available to listen to online, including a great set by The Pixies from Friday.
