Izia: La Vague

A new single with a clip by Izia, revealing a new musical direction for the singer.

The new track, La Vague, comes from her fourthcoming third album and it sees her with a surprisingly pop and dance style a singer much more associated with a rock sound.

She commented on her Facebook page: "I saw that many of you are surprised, even confused with a view to the new direction The next album but know that i made it all with a huge sincerity.

"These new choices are mine, nobody other than a deep desire  pushed me to change  course and I am extremely proud to present my work.

"I love more than anything my first albums, and most importantly, I loved to share with you live."

Izia released her eponymous debut album in 2009, and followed it with 2011's So much trouble.
Along the way she's picked up three Victoires de la musique awards.

Recent years have seen her move into cinema, a move that has seen her nominated for a César award later this month in the 'best supporting actress' category for her part in the film Samba. She already won a César in 2013 in the best female newcomer category for the film Mauvaise fille.

The song Hey emerged online earlier this month as a teaser for the album.

Izia's new album is released on April 13, and she wll be undertaking a tour to coincide woith the new CD, with a show at Le Trianon in Paris on May 5.
