Came across this astonishing cover of Pink Floyd's Echos by Lyon band Fireball FC, which combines 70s prog rock and 70s disco with astonishing ease.It shouldn't work, but it does, perhaps due to its mix of technicolour humour and bare-faced cheek.
Even the most serious Pink Floyd fan couldn't help but crack a smile.
Fireball FC have been around since 2003, releasing their debut album Jupiter & Beyond the Infinite the following year under the name Fireball.
They've released three albums since then, adopting the name Fireball FC for their second album You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Their cover of Echoes appears on their 2014 collection French Melancholy.
