An appearance on French evening TV show Gaëtan Roussel with a performance of the the title track of his forthcming new solo album Hope.
Roussel, while an established solo artist and songwriter who has written for many successful acts, is also the singer with legendary French band Louise Attaque.
Louise Attaque's self-titled debut album was one of the biggest sellers in French rock history, but the band essentially split in 2001 following their second album. The members formed two separate bands, with Roussel fronting the band Tarmac.
They came back for a third album in 2005, before again going their separate ways in 2007. This time Gaëtan Roussel became involved in writing for other acts, notably Alain Bashung, before releasing his debut solo album Ginger in 2010.
Louise Attaque came together again, his time as a three-piece, for the 2016 album Anomalie and to play live again, the album winning at Victoires de la Musique award for the best rock album of the year.
While Louise Attaque's history hass been one of stops and starts, Roussel's solo career remains very much on track. His new solo album - his third - follows his 2013 collection Orpailleur,
The album Hope is released on September 14.

Louise Attaque: C à vous
An appearance on French evening chat show C à vous by Louise Attaque, marking the release of the band's long awaited new album.
The album Anomalie was released on Friday, a fourth album by a band who seemed to have called it quits for good following their 2005 release A plus tard crocodile.
But they were always held in affection, their subsequent post Louise Attaque careers meeting with success.
Last year's announcement that they were to reform as a three piece and release a new album and tour extensively was met with excitement and anticipation, subsequent singles sparking debate and rekindling memories.
So an appearance on TV marked the release, with Avec le Temps, one of the singles from the new album performed.
Louise Attaque begin their live dates at the end of this month, with shows across France and neighbouring countries, and festival dates over the summer.

Louise Attaque: Live on Le Grand Journal
A live appearance by the newly-reconvened Louise Attaque on Le Grand Journal last night, with two tracks including their new single Anomalie.
Le Grand Journal is the flagship show on French TV channel Canal +
The bands' new single was released yesterday and comes ahead of a new album and a tour next year. It marks the return of one of France's most popular rock acts.
They reformed with three of the original four members of the band.
To these ears anyway, the live version sounds more like the old Louise Attaque, maybe the violin is just more prominent in the mix than on the studio version.
The band also performed J't'emmène au vent, one of the best known tracks form their 1997 debut album.

Louise Attaque: Anomalie
A welcome return for Louise Attaque, with the single Anomalie emerging today. It's the first new material from the band since a new track emerged for a greatest hits compilation Du monde tout autour in 2011.
The track comes ahead of a fourth album next year.
Louise Attaque never outstayed their welcome, with a discography of only three albums , their 1997 met with much deserved commercial and critical success. Their 2000 follow- up Comme on a dit also was hugely successful, but they split the following year.
They blamed lack of inspiration and the pressure they found themselves under.
Louise Attaque regrouped in 2003 and released À Plus Tard Crocodile in 2005, like its predecessor a winner of a Victoire de la musique award for best rock album.
The new Louise Attaque features three of he four original members, Gaëtan Roussel, Arnaud Samuel and Robin Feix.
The new album by Louise Attaque is expected to be released in January.
Louise Attaque have a series of live dates next year, with a tour from the end of February and shows at La Cigale in Paris on June 1, 2, and 3.
