Baden Baden: Hivers

A new video by Baden Baden, this time for the track Hiver.

The track features on their recently released Mille Éclairs album which came out in February this year.

The French band has produced a collection that matches or betters any indie rock release from this side of the channel this year, and this track is one of the album's highlights.

I've listened to the album repeatedly since it was released, and I'd be surprised if it doesn't feature on some lists as one of the best of 2015 by the end of the year.

Baden Baden have a nunmber of live dates ahead, including shows at the Francofolies festival in La Rochelle, and a show at the Olympia in Paris in December.

Baden Baden: Virgin Radio session

A new album has been  released this week by Baden Baden, and a great live session by Virgin Radio
features the band playing up close.

The track Hivers comes from the album Mille éclairs, a collection that features their two previous singles J'ai plongé dans le bruit and A tes côtés.

Amazing to see a band with only three members make such a full sound in such a small place.

By rights they should be filling the largest concert halls, and I'm sure that can only be a matter of time.

Meanwhile, the band are touring and play at the café de la danse in Paris on March 25.

Baden Baden: J'ai Plongé dans le bruit

A new video for French indie rock act Baden Baden, for the track J'ai Plongé dans le bruit.

The track comes ahead of the release of a new album next month.

The album, to be entitled Mille éclaires, comes after both this track and A tes côtés, both suggesting that the album will be well worth hearing.

J'ai plongé dans le bruit is set to be the opening track of the 11-song collection.

Paris based Baden Baden have been around since 2008, releasing their first material two years later ahead of their debut album Coline in 2012. It established their reputation for polished if melancholy indie pop, something that the more recent material has at its core.

The band give influences as the likes of Grandaddy and  Pavement as well as Jaques Brel and Alain Bashung, and if they even manage to distill a fraction of these in the album, they'll have created a heady brew indeed.
