It certainly is, and Gaspard Royant, the king of the Haute Savoie Doo Wop Garage 'n' Roll scene is the man of the season again.
His new collection Wishing You a Merry Christmas features
the hit (C'mon Baby) It's Christmas Time - which, like Gaspard's other work, should be a hit by the time you read this along with a bunch of other festive favourites.
Gaspard's released Christmas tracks over the past few years, and this collection brings them together in a fine Christmas bonus.
A surprise appearance by Gaspard Royant as the music behind the new advert campaign for Citroen cars.
The track Marty McFly is soundtracking the new ads for the C4 Cactus Rip Cury, an appropriately sharp tune for one of Citroen's more stylish offerings. I have my doubts about the advert, not really my thing, but there's no disputing quality of the tune.
The track comes from Gaspard's Ten Track Wonder debut album, originally released in 2014. We've been fans of Gaspard since then, so it's nice to see him get this kind of exposure in the UK.
Gaspard's most reccent album Have You Met Gaspard Royant was released in April this year, a fine follow up which was produced by Scottish music legend Edwyn Collins.
Great to see a French artist getting played on prime time television, and hopefully more people in the UK and beyond will get to know the king of the Haute Savoie Doo-Wop Garage and Roll scene.
He's just released the track Sevcen Inch Club as a single and Gaspard's got live dates scheduled across France, and plays Paris on October 12 during the MAMA Festival.

He talks about working with Scottish music legend Edwyn Collins who produced the album, and their shared love of Northern Soul. There's a mention of his mixing the collection in Helmsdale in Scotland. It's an appropriately stylishly shot short giving some flavour of what we can expect next month.
If there's any justice the link with Edwyn Collins will win him some much-deserved radio airplay and some media attention in the UK.
The new album, entitled Have You Met Gaspard Royant is released on April 8 and is available to pre-order in a variety of formats now, including CD and vinyl, with three tracks available immediately to download with every order.
He plays La Maroquinerie in Paris on April 11, and in Strasbourg on April 21, but before then has a show in London on March 25 at the Zoo Zoo club at the Blues Kitchen Camden.

2016 sees Gaspard working on his second album, the follow up to the mighty 10 Hits Wonder collection, with former Orange Juice and all round Scottish music legend Edwyn Collins.
Another thing to look forward to in 2016 for sure.

There's always time for some Doo-Wop Garage'n'Roll from Haute Savoie, and it sounds as good in 2015 as it would have done in 1985 or 1955.
Gaspard Royant plays in Spain at the BIME festival in Bilbao on October 30.
Another weekend city festival takes place in the UK this weekend, and again there's a considerable French presence.
The Sound City event in Liverpool sees three days of music at the docklands area.
Big names include The Vaccines, the Flaming Lips and Belle and Sebastian, as well as the likes of the Thurston Moore Band, Swans and Peace, but scattered across the bill that encompassed eight stages and dozens of acts, are some of the best current French talent.
Sunday at the Atlantic Stage sees Gaspard Royant, no stranger to this blog, perform. His is a stylish take on retro rock 'n'roll, he'll go down well on the bill alongside Belle and Sebastian.
Royant's set is in the afternoon, and making the most of his tie in the north of England, he also plays in Manchester the same day, with a show at 10pm at the Whiskey Jar
Aquaserge play on the Saturday at the North Stage. They've been playing a few dates in the UK and have certainly established themselves as a name to drop amongst those who are well-informed about what's going on.
HollySiz and C.A.R are two acts that made an impression at the Great Escape. I've featured C.A.R. repeatedly on this blog, so her show at the North Stage on Sunday at 5.30 is well worth catching. If you can't make it, C.A.R also play on June 11 at The Shacklewell Arms in London.
HollySiz meanwhile released her debut album My Name Is in 2013, with the single Come Back To Me reaching the French top 30. She's the half sister of actor Vincent Cassel and daughter of Jean-Pierre Cassel.
HollySiz play the North Stage on Friday at 3.30.
Another act that are well worth attention are NLF3, whose instrumental post rock soundtracks imaginary films that need to be made, as well as pretty nifty videos that have been made.
Gaspard Royant was one of the many acts playing at the Bars en Trans event in Rennes this year.
Although I didn't get along to his show, it was a good excuse to re-listen to his 10 hit wonder album that was issued earlier in 2014, and it's packed with sharp tunes.
Best of all, he's just released a Christmas song so given our current festive mood, what could be more perfect?
