Shy'm: Tandem

A new track by Shy'm, with the song Tandem one of two bonus tracks n a new Best Of album
marking the ten years of her career.

Her debut album  Mes fantaisies was realsed in 2006, her most recent 2014's Solitaire, a platinum selling album in France.

The song is of course a cover of a track initially recorded by Vanessa Paradis on her 1990 Variations sur le même t'aime album. It was written by Serge Gainsbourg.

The new version of the song comes from a forthcoming greatest hits CD by Shy'm, who is embarking on the second leg of a major tour.

The album À nos dix ans is released today amd Shy'm plays at Bercy in Paris on November 17 and 18.

Shy'm: Silhouettes

A new single by Shy'm, with the song Silhouettes.

It's the fourth track to be taken as a single from the R 'n' B star's 2014 Solitaire album.

The alum, her fifth, reached the top ten in France.

It follows last years's  La Malice, L'effet De Serre and On S'en Va which came out in January.

The video gives a taste of her live show, something her fans will be able to exerience with festival dates over the summer and arena dates in October and November, including two shows at the Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy on November 17 and 18.

Shy'm: L'effet de serre

An interesting version of the new single by Shy'm,  L'effet de serre unveiled on French TV.

The normally upbeat electro pop track was reworked for the programme C à vous as a piano and vocals track.

It's the second single to be taken from her Solitaire album that was released last month. It's the singer's fifth album.

She's been a major pop star in France since 2005, winning the Danse avec les stars reality TV show in 2011.

2015 sees her embark on an extensive tour around France, with dates from March. Two shows are lined up at Bercy in November.

NRJ Music Awards 2013 winners

Some of France's biggest names were out at the weekend with teh annual NRJ music awards being held in Cannes,a  major showcase for the country's talent as well as an opportunity for some of the biggest international acts to grace the stage in France in front of a massive audience.

Press in the UK were more focussed on One Direction and taylor Swift being in the same building at the same time

Female Francophone artist of the year: Shy'm

Male Francophone artist of the year: M Pokora

Francophone group/duo of the year: Sexion d'Assaut

French song of the year: Sexion d'Assaut - Avant Qu'elle Part

Elsewhere, acts like Carly Rae Jepson, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, One Direction and Psy took the international categories, Psy getting two awards, for best international song and best international video.

There were live performance by a huge number of acts, including Nolwenn Leroy, Shy'm, Jennifer, Tal, Mylène Farmer Sexion d'Assaut, M Pokora and Johnny Hallyday.

Sad to see that the official videos on the TF1 website are geoblocked and unable to watch outside France. I suspect any unofficial videos that have appeared on video sites will be pulled before too long, so I'll not actually link to them.

Previous years have seen the performances available to watch internationally online from the official site, so I'll check again to see if the videos become available later.
