Another quality session from Acoustic, the music programme on TV5Monde, with a performance this week by Barcella.
Barcella takes a modern approach to chanson, with a flavour of hip hop in his songwriting, particularly in his playfully poetic wordplay.
Barcella has recently released his third album, entitled Puzzle. It follows his La Boîte à musiques debut from 2010 and his Charabia collection from 2013.
The session features the tracks Le suicide, Caroline, La poésie des roses, Puzzle and Chou-fleur, as well as brief interview segments.
Barcella plays at the Trianon in Paris on Wednesday, and has dates elsewhere in France in November, December and January.
