French music legend Johnny Hallyday takes to the stage in Paris tonight, for the first of a series of
nights at Bercy.
He's performing along with Eddy Mitchel and Jacques Dutronc, two fellow veteran singers, each with long histories on the French music scene.
The run of shows go under the titles les vieilles canailles. The initial three-night run sold out with more subsequent dates confirmed, so there are now shows until November the tenth.
The show from Sunday November 9 is being screened live at cinemas across France.
Hallyday, of course, is touring extensively next year and has a new album to be released later this month entitled Rester Vivant, his 49th, with US producer Don Was at the helm.
He's been making some appearances in the media in recent weeks, with a few of his new songs getting an airing ahead of the new release.
