Breton band Merzhin have recently released a new single L'étincelle, the latest from last year's album - their fourth - Plus Loin Vers L'ouest.
Since 2000 the band have made a folk-influenced rock that has a punky attitude and a celtic flavour.
Merzhin are no strangers to the Vive le Roq blog, and I featured their song Maillot Jaune in January.
Merzin are to feature on a special edition of TV show Taratata about celtic music on May 17, alongside Nolwenn Leroy, Andrea Corr - singing Tinsletown in the Rain, a song originally by Scotland's Blue Nile - Donovan and fellow Breton Alan Stivell.
Merzin are touring the far east in June, with dates in the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia, and return to play dates in France for festival dates from July.
