Some more news from the Jean-Michel Jarre camp, with confirmation that a number of new tracks are to be released as limited edition 12 inch vinyl releases.
The releases include the track Conquistador, a collaboration with Gesaffelstein, the track Watching You, a collaboration with 3D from Massive Attack and Zero Gravity, a piece that sees him working alongside Tangerine Dream.
His work with Tangerine Dream features work he did with the band's founder Edgar Froese before his death earlier this year.
The three 12 inch singles are each released in an edition of 1,000 copies
Jarre's choice of collaborators has been excellent, and the work that's emerged so far this year has shown him to be an artist who has been keeping up with developments in electronic music in the decades since he became one of the best known artist operating in that field.
From what's emerged so far, there's much to involve fans of his classic work, and plenty to interest those into 21st century electronic music.
Jarre's new album is expected to be released on June 19 this year.
