A powerful piece of electronica by Maud Geffray with the track Bleu Pétrole.
Geffray is half of the act Scratch Massive as well as a solo artist.
Most recently she worked on a film and music project entitled 1994, an experimental work which took footage of a rave in Brittany in '94, re-imagining the visuals of an almost forgotten event with a 21st century electronic soundtrack very different from the kind of music that would have been played at the event.
It's a striking piece that deals with memory and nostalgia, youth and maturity.
Bleu Pétrole is a more upbeat work, but still one rich with complexity.
Geffray and her Scratch Massive partner Sébastien Chenut have just completed soundtrack work for the forthcoming film by Zoé Cassavetes entitled Day out of Days.
The film is expected to be released next month.
