A return to the stage by singer Lou Doillon has been conformed for later this year, with dates for a
tour in autumn confirmed.
Doillon's 2012 album Places saw her take the 2013 Victoires de la Musique award for best female artist.
She is the daughter of film director Jacques Doillon and actress Jane Birkin, and very much park of the French music aristocracy, but I reckon her music was judged more on its own merits rather than on who her mother or father were.
The album was an acoustic and folk flavoured take on indie rock, produced by Étienne Daho, and was a massive commercial success.
There are no dfetails yet about a follow up album or who will be involved in it.
Her tour kicks off in Arles on October 24 and takes her all over France, as well as Zurich, Lausanne and Brussels
She plays in Paris on December 8 at the Casino de Paris.
